After my first time hearing the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus, I was absolutely blown away. So, I waited until the next time before I reviewed to make sure it wasn't an anomaly - you know, like Lindsay sober.
Last night's 2011 Holiday concert, based on a program made famous by Robert Shaw and impeccably led by Shaw-disciple Norman McKenzie, clinched it for me: this is one of the best cultural experiences in the city, hands down. It's also one of the finest choirs I've ever heard. (read more)
